Terms of Use

Last updated 2 October 2026

These terms apply to the Yesterday app and website, provided by Offshore Apps Limited ("we", "us"). By using Yesterday you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Using Yesterday

Yesterday lets a host create an event with a shared disposable camera and voice or video messages, and lets guests join it with a code. You need an iPhone to use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for using online services where you live if that's higher.

Your account

You're responsible for activity on your account. Keep your device and Apple account secure. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Your content

  • You keep ownership of the photos, messages and other content you add ("your content").
  • You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run Yesterday for you and the people at your events, for example to show your photos to an event's members after the reveal.
  • You must have the right to share your content, and you're responsible for it. Please respect the people you photograph or record.

Hosts

Hosts choose who receives the event code, the reveal time, who can see the gallery and how many guests can join. Anyone with the code can join while there's room. A host can delete their event, which deletes everyone's photos and recordings in it.

What's not allowed

  • Content that is illegal, sexually explicit, involves minors inappropriately, harasses or threatens others, or that you don't have the right to share.
  • Recording people who haven't agreed to it where the law requires their consent.
  • Trying to get around guest limits, payments or the reveal, or to access other people's events or accounts.
  • Disrupting, reverse engineering or overloading the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. To report a problem, email support@reliveyesterday.app.

Purchases

  • Each event feature includes 5 guests for free. Extra guests are one-time in-app purchases made through Apple, and they apply to the event feature you bought them for.
  • Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Payments, refunds and billing are handled by Apple under its terms. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Purchased guests can't be moved to another event.

Availability

We work hard to keep Yesterday running and your content safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of anything important; you can save photos from the app at any time after the reveal.

Liability

Yesterday is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content added by other users, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 in New Zealand.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you in the app about significant changes. You can stop using Yesterday and delete your account at any time. We may stop providing Yesterday, and will give reasonable notice where we can.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Apple

These terms are between you and Offshore Apps Limited, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Yesterday or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use of the App Store is also subject to Apple's own terms.
